Bobskis have been testing out prototypes at locations near us - Trentham Gardens Monkey Forest - a gentle slope with a typical (for England) low key dollop of snow - and Brough Park at Leek - a bit steeper with a bit more snow but still just the local park.
Take a look at the video footage to get a feel for these new sledges. They are fast, easy to use and fun. Virtually unbreakable, they are so light you can take them anywhere. Very flexible, very manouverable. Go for a walk in the woods, slide along the path, avail your self of those little windows of opportunity for action, climb back on track no sweat, have fun, move on, find somewhere good, stay a while, you get the drift.
It is really great when the kids just get on with it. They don't complain. They don't "abandon sledge". They don't mither you to drag them up. They just get on with it. All you have to do is "curb their enthusiasm" and moderate to keep them safe. Its even easy enough for mum to have a go!
P.S. It doesn't take an enormous leap of imagination for the really cool to envisage how cool they might look on one of these.
